What is happening with Key Drugs?

After many years of dedicated service to the community, Key Drugs owner Marty Michel is retiring. To continue his legacy of local, independent care, Key Drugs is joining the John’s Pharmacy family, effective December 1, 2025.

Do I need to do anything to transfer my prescriptions?

No, you don’t need to do a thing! All your prescription records and refills will be securely and automatically transferred to John’s Pharmacy, located at 909 West Pine Street in Poplar Bluff.

When does this change take place?

The Key Drugs location at 910 N. Westwood Blvd. will permanently close at the end of the business day on November 29, 2025. Your prescription records will be available at John’s Pharmacy starting December 1, 2025.

Where do I pick up my prescriptions now?

Starting December 1st, you can pick up your prescriptions at John’s Pharmacy, located at 909 W. Pine Street.

Will you accept my insurance plan?

We’ll contact you if any insurance issues arise during the switch.

Do you offer prescription delivery?

Absolutely! We offer free local delivery right to your home or office. We’d be happy to set this up for you with our Meds@ONCE service.

Do you have a drive-thru?

Yes! Our 909 W. Pine Street location has a convenient drive-thru for you.

What services do you offer?

We offer a full range of services, including immunizations, medication compounding, durable medical equipment (DME), and Meds@ONCE — our free program that syncs all your monthly refills to be ready on the same day.

How are my health records protected?

Your privacy is a top priority. Your records will be transferred securely and confidentially, following all federal and state privacy laws, including HIPAA.

How can my doctor send in my prescriptions?

Your doctor can send prescriptions electronically to John’s Pharmacy – Poplar Bluff. We’re working with local healthcare providers to ensure they have our updated information.
