THE PRENATAL CRADLE

Much like a woman clasping her hands under her abdomen, the Prenatal Cradle® supports the weight of pregnancy, yet does not restrict mother or child. By freeing the arms and promoting proper circulation to the lower extremities, the undergarment also allows many mothers to remain active through the third trimester.

Features of the Prenatal CradLE include:

• Patented design supports back and abdomen
• Gently improves posture while easing many discomforts
• May be worn with regular lingerie
• Based on the most natural stance of a woman with child
• Completely adjustable, even through clothing
• Machine washable, flannel-backed

This product is available without a prescription to order, or in stock at our store. For more information, see our product page.

PREGANCY AND COMPRESSION STOCKINGS

Compression stockings are a proven way to treat venous and circulation problems, as well as a variety of leg discomforts. A mild compression stocking will relieve symptoms such as swelling and varicose veins, which often plague pregnant women.

Most leg problems are due to poor circulation since the blood and veins need to work against gravity to get the blood back up to the heart. During pregnancy the blood flow is dramatically affected due to the added demands of the fetus. The additional stress and pressure can cause veins to dilate, weaken, and work much less efficiently.

Support stockings work by promoting circulation and the return of blood back up to the heart through the venous system. They apply gradual amounts of pressure to the leg, with the most compression occurring at the ankle and lessening in increments further up the leg.

Compression stockings treat a variety of problems, including leg cramps, varicose and spider veins, swelling or edema, leg pain, and help in preventing deep vein thrombosis (blood clots).

Medi Compression Stockings are available in our store and require measurement and fitting to ensure you get the fit that will offer you the correct amount of compression. Stockings in lower compression strengths are available over the counter. For a stronger compression, talk to your doctor about a prescription. MEDI Stockings Are Anatomically-Woven For a More Accurate Pressure Profile.

Unlike many other compression stockings which start as a “tube”, MEDI’s computerized weaving process turns ultra-fine, uncoated spandex yarns into a sheer, comfortable, anatomically correct stocking shape which distributes vascular pressure in the most accurate and precise increments possible. And MEDI’s ankle-sizing increments ensure that 97% of patients can be fitted precisely into ready-made MEDI stockings.
